Company Background and History
Morning Meadow was established in 1998 as a registered trade name for Green Pastures, Inc.  Earlier in 1998, Green Pastures, Inc. was incorporated in Louisiana as a private company by Ralph and Fern Owens.  Both Ralph and Fern have extensive rental property management and ownership experience dating back to 1984.  Their challenge was to develop a new rental property business from the ground up.  Strong market competition, coupled with their personal goals, dictated that their business needed to be more than simply a superior operation.

In mid-1998 the Company purchased the initial property conveniently located on New Natchitoches Road, just outside the city limits of West Monroe.  Later that year construction for the first phase of development began (20 Manufactured Home Sites and 58 Self-Storage Units).  We were excited to receive our first customers in 1999.

As our business grew we purchased adjacent properties on Arthur Street, Bailey Street, and New Natchitoches Road, integrating them into the facility.  We have incrementally expanded the business and most recently added an additional Climate and Humidity Controlled storage building.

Today, our core business consists of 124 Manufactured Home Sites and 700 Self-Storage Units located on a 30+ acre land parcel.

To provide maximum value to our customers in Land-Leased Manufactured Housing and Self-Storage rental marketplace, while optimizing the return on investment to our Share Holders.

Philosophy:We believe the following are possible, and we pledge our efforts to accomplish them:

  • A place where residents can have pride in their home, yard, and community.
  • A place where litter and clutter are managed.
  • A community that has permanent and durable streets, curbs and driveways. Streets which are open to two way traffic and free of parked vehicles.
  • A concrete driveway for each home that allows for adequate off-street parking and provides home access free of mud or dirt.
  • An atmosphere that promotes friendliness and congeniality.
  • Reasonable Guidelines that promote peace and quiet.
  • Fencing that enhances security.
  • Standards for home construction, appearance, and maintenance, including add-ons such as porches, covers, and storage buildings.
  • Underground utilities that leave the overhead free of unsightly poles and wires.
  • Owners and Management that believe in and practice fair dealings.
